The Visiting Critic Studio is an experiential learning opportunity for Syracuse University School of Architecture students to learn from top architects and experts from around the world, including the opportunity to travel domestically and abroad to meet clients, network with professionals and experts in the field and build life-altering relationships that open doors to future professional opportunities.
One such experience was the three-semester studio “Platform Surfside: The Adaptive City". The goal of the three-semester studio was to participate in the conversations around issues of coastal adaptation and flood mitigation. Syracuse Architecture students exhibited and presented their work to the public and to Surfside town officials.
Your donation to the Visiting Critic Studio Fund provides resources to hire accomplished professionals to teach in residence, support lectures and symposium related to the studios, fund travel for student site visits, produce publications and enhance portfolios of student work, as well as additional project-related expenses.
